“O que eu sei da minha experiência no CS é que times da Europa e NA não levam os treinos a sério”, revelou capitão da Vision Strikers

A Vision Strikers foi um dos primeiros times a se classificar para os playoffs do VALORANT Masters Berlin. O time sul coreano venceu a Paper Rex e a Acend por 2 a 0, a equipe que contagiou o público é uma das favoritas para chegar a final.

Em entrevista ao VZone, o capitão Kim “stax” Gu-taek comentou quem quer enfrentar nos playoffs, sobre as expectativas que o público teve em cima da Vision Strikers, como foram os treinos na Europa e mais.

Ex-jogador de CS:GO, stax já jogou diversos torneios em LAN durante a sua promissora carreira, apesar disso. O atleta acredita que os presenciais que aconteceram na Coréia do Sul já no VALORANT, lhe preparam para esse Masters. “Porque jogamos em LAN no Challengers da Coreia, acho que isso ajudou mais no nosso desempenho do que minha experiência no CS:GO”.

Sobre os treinos, o atleta confirmou que treinavam muito contra a Paper Rex por causa da proximidade das duas regiões. “Nós estávamos mais preocupados em jogar contra um time da Ásia do que um time da Europa ou América do Norte, porque quando viemos pra cá e treinamos contra esses times, nós sentimos que as equipes da Ásia eram melhores do que o EU e o NA”, revelou stax.

“O que eu sei da minha experiência no CS:GO é que times da Europa e América do Norte não levam os treinos a sério, na verdade, eles tentam estratégias de CS, pegam o que podem e aprendem conosco, eles realmente não se concentram. Pelo menos nos treinos, eles não são tão bons.”

No início do Masters, o jogador da Gambit, Ayaz “nAts” Akhmetshin revelou que um dos times que gostaria de enfrentar nos playoffs seria a Vision Strikers. O capitão da VS compartilha da mesma vontade.

“Gambit é um dos times que nós realmente gostaríamos de jogar contra nos playoffs. É um time que interagimos muito, tivemos refeições com eles, conversamos muito com eles e eu estou muito feliz com a chance de poder enfrentá-los.”

Considerado o grupo da morte, o grupo A foi o único que teve dois times da Europa, Acend e SuperMassive Blaze, o sul-coreano revelou que a equipe ficou apreensiva no começo. “Eu realmente não assisto outras regiões, não sei o nome dos times ou dos jogadores então eu não tinha certeza de como eles eram bons, mas quando eu assisti as partidas eu pensei: talvez esse não seja o grupo da morte.”

Uma das favoritas para ganhar o Masters Berlin e tirar a coroa da Sentinels, stax acredita definitivamente que a Vision Strikers tem chances de vencer. “Mesmo que eles tenham ótimos jogadores com boas habilidades e mecânicas, eu acho que estamos no mesmo nível que eles. Então eu como capitão (IGL), se eu fizer boas chamadas na partida contra eles e meus companheiros de equipe conseguirem jogar com liberdade e se divertirem, eventualmente venceremos a Sentinels.”

Apesar da expectativa que o público tem em cima do time, stax não está satisfeito e acredita que o mínimo que o time deve alcançar são as finais do Masters.

Já classificados para o VALORANT Champions no final do ano, o jogador comentou que o maior objetivo da Vision Strikers é ter um bom desempenho no Champions, caso consigam uma ótima atuação no Masters, a equipe vai conseguir se sair melhor no próximo torneio.

After Vision Strikers win over Acend, VZone talked with stax about his experience in LAN’s in CS:GO and scrims in Europe. “Because we played on LAN on Challengers Korea, I think that was more helpful for our performance than my CS:GO experience.”

“Actually we scrim a lot with Paper Rex in Asia because we are so close to each other so we were actually more worried about facing an Asia team than an EU or NA team because when we came here and practiced against these teams we felt thatr Asia teams were actually better than EU or NA teams.”

“What I noticed with my experience in CS:GO is that EU and NA teams don’t really take scrims very seriously in fact they try CS strategies and take what they can and learn from us they don’t really focus so at least scrim wise I think that they were not that great.”

In an earlier interview nAts from Gambit said he wanted to face Sentinels and Vision Strikers in playoffs. “I agree with nAts and say that Gambit is one of the teams that we are really looking for to face in knockout rounds. They are a team that we interact a lot we had meals with them we talked to them a lot so I’m super excited if we get the chance to play with them.”

The IGL also talked about the Group A as the “Group of Death”. “When we initially found out about the groups we thought “okay maybe we should be worried” but I don’t really watch other regions or I don’t really know their names of other regions teams and players so I wasn’t really sure how good they were but once I saw their matches I realize that: okay this is not the group of death after all.”

stax also said they have good chances to win Sentinels in finals if they face each other. “I think we definitely have a chance although they are a team with players who have great mechanic abilities I think we are in par with them so if I as the in game leader (IGL) give good orders though the match with them my teammates will be able to run around freely and have fun and eventually take down Sentinels.”

About overcome the expectations, stax said they want more. “I don’t think we have yet and think it’s the bare minimum that we reach the finals”. We made to Champions but for this tournament I think what we have accomplished is the bare minimum and we have to make to the finals but our bigger goal is to perform well at Champions so we wanna do well as we can in Berlin and then show you the rest in Champions.”
